Plan now to take advantage of special Saturday hours available at the Orange County Clerk-Recorder Department on Saturday June 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Old County Courthouse in Santa Ana and the department’s branch offices in Laguna Hills and Fullerton. Free parking will be available at all three offices. Some services will not be available at all locations.
The Orange County Clerk-Recorder Department set a new record on Saturday, April 27, with its fourth “Passport Day,” processing 106 passports and 71 photos—nearly doubling the then-record 65 passports and 55 photos processed during a similar Saturday event in March. The turnout nearly tripled the 37 passports and 22 photos from last year’s Passport Day.
The Orange County Clerk-Recorder Department processed a record number of passport applications on Saturday, March 9, as part of a special “Passport Day in the USA” held nationally. The event was so successful, in fact, that the department has scheduled another Passport Day for Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Old County Courthouse in Santa Ana.
More than 200,000 people have used the convenient South County branch office of the Orange County Clerk-Recorder Department since it opened seven years ago. The office is located in the Laguna Hills Civic Center at 24031 El Toro Road. A second branch office opened four years ago in historic downtown Fullerton.
A near-record number of couples – 170 – were married on Valentine’s Day in civil ceremonies performed by the Clerk-Recorder Department, just three couples shy of the previous record of 173 couples who wed on the holiday in 1997. Last year, 157 couples tied the knot on Valentine’s Day.
