Orange County Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen is once again partnering with the California Secretary of State to bring convenient, in-person Apostille services to Orange County. The one-day Apostille Pop-Up Shop will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the County Administration South building, 601 N. Ross St., Santa Ana, CA 92701.
This will be the second Apostille Pop-Up Shop hosted by the Clerk-Recorder Department this year and continues a partnership with the California Secretary of State now in its third year. By bringing these services directly to Orange County, customers can avoid traveling to Los Angeles or mailing their documents to Sacramento. The Pop-Up Shop makes Apostille services more convenient and accessible for residents of Orange County and neighboring counties.
“Our Apostille Pop-Up Shops continue to see high demand from residents who appreciate having this important service available closer to home,” said Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen. “I’m excited to continue bringing this service directly to our community and helping people save both time and money by avoiding a trip to Los Angeles or having to mail their documents to Sacramento.”
In addition to Apostille services, the California Secretary of State will provide in-person Domestic Partnership registration services during the Pop-Up Shop.
An Apostille authenticates the signature of a California public official on a document intended for use outside the United States. Common documents requiring an Apostille include birth certificates, marriage certificates, single status certificates, educational records, and other official or notarized documents.
What to Bring for Apostille Services:
A document signed by a California public official or an original notarized and/or certified document. Photocopy is not acceptable.
A completed Apostille Pop-Up Shop Request Cover Sheet available at:

California Secretary of State processing fee is $20 for each apostille document, along with a $6 special handling fee for every public official’s authentication signature. Payments for apostille services can be made using Visa, Mastercard, checks, or money orders. No cash accepted.
Notary public services will be available on-site from the OC Clerk of the Board office for $15 per signature, payable by cash or personal check only. Make check payable to the County of Orange.
