Clerk-Recorder's Santa Ana Location Moving to New County Administration South Building

Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen is proud to announce that the Clerk-Recorder Department will be serving the public at its new home inside the County Administration South building in Santa Ana, which is home to the County Service Center. The ribbon cutting and dedication for the County’s much anticipated innovative building was held this past Wednesday by the Orange County Board of Supervisors. The new Clerk-Recorder Department location is located at 601 N. Ross Street, Santa Ana, CA 92701 and will open its doors from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on September 3, 2019 to serve the public.
 

Orange County Clerk-Recorder Reaches Milestone by Reaching 9 Million Electronically Submitted Documents

(Santa Ana, Calif.) - This past Tuesday, the Orange County Clerk-Recorder Department reached a milestone in electronic recording history by reaching 9 million electronically submitted and recorded documents. This milestone achievement maintains the department as a nationwide industry leader and is a testament to the department's commitment to bringing the residents of Orange County fast and efficient services.

Clerk-Recorder to Host 3rd Annual Passport Day at the Old County Courthouse in Santa Ana

Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen invites the public to take advantage of Passport Day in Santa Ana to get their passports now and avoid last minute travel delays. For the third year in a row, the Clerk-Recorder’s Office will be hosting this special day at the Old County Courthouse in Santa Ana. This year it will be held on Saturday March 2, 2019 from 9 am to 3 pm.

Grand Opening for Clerk-Recorder's New Anaheim Location Set for February 25

Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen is proud to announce February 25, 2019 as the grand opening date for the Clerk-Recorder Department’s new North County Branch Office in Anaheim. After months of anticipation, the new office, located at 222 S. Harbor Blvd, Ste. 110, in Anaheim, will open its doors at 9 a.m. to serve the public.

Clerk-Recorder to Offer Extended Valentine's Day Hours for Marriage Services

Santa Ana, Calif. - For those looking to tie the knot on what many consider to be the most romantic day of the year, look no further. To accommodate couples, Orange County Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen will be offering extended hours at his offices in Anaheim, Laguna Hills and at the Old County Courthouse in Santa Ana on Valentine’s Day. The department will close at 5:30 pm instead of its normal closing hours to issue marriage licenses and perform marriage ceremonies.

Orange County Clerk-Recorder Department Receives 2018 Merit Award

The California Association of Counties (CSAC) has awarded the Orange County Clerk-Recorder Department with a 2018 Merit Award in recognition of its G2G: Government to Government Recordings Made Easy submission in the category of Government Finance, Administration & Technology. The department received recognition for its efforts to give government agencies the ability to submit document recordings electronically to any participating county using a single computer from anywhere using the G2G component to access the department’s SECURE electronic delivery system.

Clerk-Recorder to Celebrate Five Year Anniversary of Special Saturday Openings to the Public

This upcoming Saturday, July 21, Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen will be celebrating the five year anniversary in which he has opened his offices to the public one Saturday per month. The program was implemented shortly after Clerk-Recorder Nguyen took his position in the year 2013. Since the implementation of the special Saturday hours, demand has continued to increase and the openings have become very popular with wedding parties and other customers.

Clerk-Recorder's 2nd Annual Passport Day Results in Great Success for Busy Families and Individuals

This past Saturday, the Orange County Clerk-Recorder Department hosted its 2nd Annual Passport Day at the Old County Courthouse in Santa Ana. During this event, the department accepted 179 passport applications and took 114 passport photos. This represents a 113% increase in the number of passport applications accepted and an 87% increase in the number of passport photos taken during the department’s 1st Annual Passport Day last year.
